10-Bay SATA Port Multiplier Drive Enclosure

The enclosure design includes two high performance SATA II eSATA port multipliers (Silicon Image SiI 3726) and connects to a eSATA host controller card through two ports*.  Connect up to 10 drives to your computer with just two eSATA cables!  Auto-negotiation for 3Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s drives, so installation is as simple as securing the drives to the trays. 

Start out with a few drives for simple data storage, or fill the enclosure with ten drives to create up to a huge 10.0 Terabyte striped RAID array using 1TB SATA hard drives.  Filled with 10 striped SATA hard drives, the enclosure is great for uncompressed 10-bit HD video capture and editing!  Connect up to two of the enclosures to a eSATA Port Multiplier compatible host controller like the eSATA 4 Port SATA II PCI-X RAID Controller, Sonnet Tempo SATA E4P or Sonnet Tempo SATA X4P host controller to create the ultimate storage solution—using 1TB drives, you'll have 20 Terabytes of data storage!
