The HighPoint Rocket
622 is low cost eSATA 6Gb/s x1 PCIe host
adapter that adds two external SATA III 6Gb/s eSATA ports to PCIe equipped Windows and
Linux systems. The Rocket 622 enables the use of the industry’s newest and fastest hard drives
externally at 6Gb/s while providing backward
compatibility to legacy SATA 1.5Gb/s or 3Gb/s drives. It uses the same eSATA cables and
eSATA connectors as previous SATA
generations to ease integration. Fully Advanced Host Controller Interface
compliant, the Rocket 622 delivers Out-of-Box Ready installation for numerous operating systems including
Windows XP,
Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Linux.
